Lumana

Lumana is a small Seattle-based MFI working in rural areas of the Volta Region of Ghana.  Lumana began working in the village of Atorkor in 2009 and now serves clients in Atorkor, Dzita, Srogboe, Whuti and Anloga. Currently we have just over 200 clients engaged in businesses such as farming, fish processing, tailoring, trading food selling and kente (traditional Ghanian cloth) weaving.

Deployment Overview

Lumana's Mifos deployment begin in June 2010 with evaluation of Mifos 1.5.  We are currently running a pilot using Mifos 1.6 in production in parallel with our legacy system.  Technology director Duffy Tilleman is evaluating the new Mifos 2.0 release, and we will most likely begin the transition to 2.0 soon.
