Established in 1991, Manushi is a non-profit, non-governmental organization aiming to help poor, disadvantaged, and marginalized women and men in Nepal. Initially founded for the promotion of traditional arts and crafts produced by poor, disadvantaged, and marginalized women, Manushi has now grown and diversified its activities to include management and skill training, entrepreneurship development, micro-credit for women, health & environment, and gender concerns directly impacting women's empowerment and community development. Manushi is a founding member of Fair Trade Group Nepal.  Magnus Consulting, a Nepal-based IT firm and long-time active contributor to the Mifos community, has been independently leading their deployment.
